About Kevin Robinson

Kevin Robinson is the person behind The Content Generator. He is a copywriter, consultant and trainer based near Spalding in Lincolnshire.

He helps businesses explain what they do and why it matters to their customers. That includes writing websites and blogs, planning content, mentoring and training business owners and staff who have found themselves responsible for marketing alongside their other work.

Kevin’s background includes more than ten years in international sales and marketing, over twenty years teaching in universities and colleges and 15 years as a content creator. He has written more than 2,000 commissioned pieces, working with businesses in professional services, recruitment, technology, hospitality and healthcare.

Alongside teaching subjects such as media production, screenwriting, marketing and communication and documentary production, he has created courses for online learners as well as at university and college level. He has also worked as a Standards Verifier for schools and colleges, checking the quality and consistency of assessment and learning.

Kevin holds a master’s degree in a creative writing area and is a published academic, with chapters on television programmes including Sapphire & Steel, Torchwood and Heroes. He has also written radio dramas and was a musician playing festivals and theatres for many years.

These days, his work combines writing for clients with training and mentoring. Some clients want him to produce their content; others want help developing the skills and confidence to do it themselves. He offers both, including through The Accidental Content Creator Training.

His approach is practical: establish what customers need to know, what the business wants its content to achieve and what is manageable with the time and resources available, then look at how to implement that using AI and other tools as needed. The goal is to have content that works for SEO, AIEO and, most importantly, the clients and customers.
